New Ringgold, PA - State police are investigating the shootings of a man and a woman who were found dead Thursday night in their home in New Ringgold, Schuylkill County.
The bodies of Randolph W. Arndt II, 44, and Cindy L. Arndt, 50, were discovered about 6 by a family member in the home in the 400 block of North Keim Street, troopers said.
The family member called 9-1-1 and troopers from the Frackville station responded to the scene.
Troopers didn’t indicate in a news release the Arndts’ relationship.
Investigators said initial indications are that the shootings were the result of a domestic dispute between the Arndts and no one else was in the home when it happened.
Rulings by the Schuylkill County coroner’s office on the cause and manner of the deaths are awaiting results of an autopsy to be performed by forensic pathologist Dr. Richard Bindie in Schuylkill Medical Center, Pottsville.
Troopers were assisted at the scene by officials from the coroner’s office and the Schuylkill County district attorney’s office.

A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
