Police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide, which occurred this morning around 9:30 a.m. at the Pineapple Motor Inn, 633 South Washington St., North Attleboro.
Preliminary investigation indicates a 23-year-old man shot and killed a 20-year-old female inside one the guest rooms at the hotel, before then shooting himself. The female shooting victim was deceased at the hotel. The male was rushed to Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro before being transferred to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, where he was pronounced dead. The male and female were checked into the hotel together.
Neither individual involved in the incident is being identified at this time, as next of kin has yet to be located and notified.
The investigation into the incident, which is ongoing, is being conducted by the Bristol County District Attorney's Office, the Massachusetts State Police Unit assigned to the district attorney's office, North Attleboro Police and Seekonk Police.
