A couple and two dogs were found dead on Sand Mountain in Dade County, Ga., on Friday evening in what authorities said was apparently a murder-suicide.
Dade County deputies responded at approximately 9 p.m. to a shooting at 839 Saddle Club Road.
When deputies arrived on the scene they discovered a male and a female deceased.
The Dade County Sheriff's Office said the investigation has indentifed the man as 51-year-old Clifford Hubbard of Florida, and the female as 46-year-old Cynthia Harris of Dade County.
Major Jackie Womack said, "At this point in the preliminary investigation, it appears that Mr. Hubbard shot Ms. Harris and two dogs before turning the gun on himself."
Investigators finished processing the scene at approximately 4 a.m.
The bodies have been transported to the GBI Crime Lab for an autopsy.
The investitagation into the deaths is still ongoing.

We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
