FLORENCE (AP) -- A South Carolina woman accused of killing her husband after his remains were found five years after he disappeared has pleaded not guilty.
A judge denied bond for 46-year-old Brenda Bratschi on Friday after she entered her plea.
Bratschi was arrested last month after scientists determined bones found under a trailer in July belonged to her husband, 54-year-old Randy Bratschi. He disappeared in November 2004 after leaving his job in Florence.
A month before Randy Bratschi disappeared, police say his wife beat him with a wooden stick. She has not been tried in that case.
