Columbia, SC (WLTX) - The Richland County Sheriff's Office deputies said a domestic dispute led to a fatal stabbing in the Pine Valley community just before 2 a.m. on Saturday.
Deputies said the Ashley Vereen, 25, stabbed 27-year-old Gary Vereen in his upper body.
The incident happened at 12 Kathleen Ct, according to police.
Richland County deputies said the victim was able to get into his truck where he drove about 100 yards and then died at the corner of Kathleen Drive and Kathleen Ct.
Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott said further investigation revealed that there was a verbal altercation between Vereen and the victim that turned physical at the residence.
Deputies said that Vereen was arrested outside of the residence on Kathleen Court and was transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
