CHATSWORTH, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- An apparent domestic dispute turned fatal in Chatsworth, where police say a man tried to kill a woman and took his own life.
Police received a domestic violence call from a home on the 20200 block of Lassen Street at about 12:30 a.m. Saturday.
When officers arrived, they found a woman stabbed in the neck and a man drowned in the pool. The woman was transported to an area hospital, where she is expected to recover. The relationship between the man and the woman was unknown.
Authorities said the incident appeared to be an attempted murder-suicide. Though police are remaining tight-lipped about the investigation, first responders said there were gunshots fired in the area near the time of the incident.
The names of those involved were not immediately released.
