Bradley County, Tennessee deputies are looking for a murder suspect who has killed before. Investigators believe David Keith Daugherty killed his wife, Elizabeth Annette Carney, leaving her body covered up inside their mobile home at 1235 6th St. NE.

Carney's family, who referred to her as Annette, grew very concerned over the last few days. They live across the street and had not seen her.

They found her dead wrapped in a blanket. NewsChannel 9 found an old friend who saw her just last weekend. "She said I'll see you again. And now this, I saw y'all's website and I broke down because of it," Priscilla Goodwin said.

Goodwin said the she grew up with her. She also saw Daugherty with his wife at a CVS in Cleveland last Friday or Saturday. Goodwin said Daugherty and Carney got into an argument and she knew of them fighting often. "I wish he was never around her. If it was my idea, I'd try to get her away from him."

But according to public information officer Bob Gault, the two got married in Polk County less than two months ago. They had been married before Daugherty went to prison in 1990. He was convicted of shooting and killing Larry McKinney off of Highway 64. YOU CAN READ ALL ABOUT THAT CASE BY CLICKING HERE

Meanwhile, NewsChannel 9 dug into his Bradley County arrest record and found after 1999 Daugherty was charged with two counts of aggravated burglary, possession of marijuana, theft over $1,000 and reckless endangerment.

A check into state prison records shows he was released in January of 2010, just 18 months before Carney's death. Her family told police they found her wrapped up in a blanket. Gault said, "They (investigators) are inside the residence going through, going through, seeking anything that may lend a clue to what happened and perhaps how she died."

And now deputies are looking for Daugherty in a green 1995 Mercury Villager van with gold trim. It has TN license tag 373-TLP.

Meanwhile, all of Carney's family said she was a very good person, kind to all. That's exactly how Goodwin remembered her, "My kids even played with her kids and far as I know like I said, she's a good mother, she never bothered nobody."

Deputies have been advised to use extreme caution; they believe Daugherty is armed with a 9mm gun. Carney's body has been sent to Knoxville for autopsy.
