San Luis Obispo Sheriff's investigators have identified the bodies of a man and woman found Wednesday in a car off a remote highway.
Now, authorities say they have a better idea of what may have happened to 22-year-old Hugo Castillo and 19-year-old Stephanie Rodriguez.
The investigation began after a missing person's report was filed with the Atascadero Police Department.
The bodies of were found inside Rodriguez' vehicle down an embankment on Highway 58, near Red Hill Road.
Sheriff's investigators believe the two were the victims of a murder suicide. However, there are still plenty of questions that need to be answered. No word yet on who may have killed who, and which victim was driving the vehicle.
Those questions may be answered after autopsies are performed this Friday.
Officials believe the couple may have died before going over the side of the road.
