FLINT, Michigan — A 21-year-old man was stabbed to death at a trailer park on Lippincott Boulevard, according to police.
The man's 33-year-old girlfriend is in custody and police have identified the woman as the one who stabbed the man. Police say there was an argument between the two that escalated. The stabbing happened just after midnight at the trailer park on Lippincott near Dort Highway.
Police aren't saying if the stabbing was in self-defense. The case will be turned over to the Genesee County Prosecutor's office who will determine if charges will be filed.
The names of the victim and the suspect have not been released yet.
The homicide is the 64th of the year.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
