Horry County Police have a suspect in custody and have charged him with murder in the death of a woman who was shot and killed early Saturday morning in Green Sea.
Sherman D. Evans, 30, has been charged in connection with the death of Tara Gore, 38, said Lt. Raul Denis with the Horry County Police Department.
Gore was killed by a single gunshot wound, said Horry County Coroner Robert Edge Jr.

Around 2 a.m., a call went out for police to respond to a home on Long Branch Swamp Road in Green Sea for a possible shooting, said Denis.
Denis said when the police arrived they found Gore had been shot and killed.
He said Evans was Gore's live-in boyfriend but he did not have any information on the circumstances that led to the shooting.
Evans was arrested about a year ago for criminal domestic violence, first offense, according to records from J. Ruben Long Detention Center.
