WILMINGTON, N.C. — Police think a man who jumped to his death from a Wilmington overpass had killed his girlfriend at her apartment nearby.
New Hanover County sheriff's spokesman Deputy J.L. Augst says investigators think the man killed the woman Saturday, drove to the overpass and jumped.
In a news release Sunday, Augst said Kimberly Ann Williams Hill, 42, was killed in her apartment and Joseph Lane Rouse, 37, died after jumping from the overpass.
Augst said the two had been dating, but he didn't know whether they were living together.

We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
