SAWYER -- Forsyth Township police Wednesday have released new information on the couple that was found dead Monday night in Sawyer.
They're now confirming that it was a murder suicide.
Police say the couple had a history of domestic violence. Police have also released their names.
Authorities believe Roy and Brooklyn Neal had been fighting all day when Roy stabbed his wife to death and then stabbed himself.
"Apparently they were talking about getting a divorce and in previous arguments, according to family members, the husband said he wouldn't leave her and if he had to go, he wouldn't go alone," said Chief Tim Rector of the Forsyth Township Police Department.
Police were called by a friend of Brooklyn's shortly after 6 p.m. Two of the four children were in the house at the time of the incident.
All four children are now with their grandparents in Harvey.

We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
