FLINT, Michigan -- It appears the city has tied its all time high record of 61 homicides. Here's a look back at the homicides the city investigated as well as where the case stands.
1. Feb 21: Ryan Ervin, 19, was shot in the head Feb. 19 at a home near Marvin and Damon streets during an argument. He died two days later. Three people have been charged in connection with his death.
2. Feb. 26: Gregory Ingram, 20, was shot to death as he walked down the sidewalk near Verdun Street and Holbrook Avenue. Three people have been charged in connection with his death.
3. Feb. 26: Anthony Blackburn, 33, was shot to death after a fight in a home at 305 E. Russell Ave. A woman, who told police he had tried to attack her, was arrested in connection with his death. Police have turned the case over to the prosecutor, who will decide if charges should be filed.
4. March 18: Jeffery Montney, 44, was found shot to death in the street about 8 p.m. near 9th Avenue and Garland Street. There have been no arrests.
5. April 7: Michael Nettles, 33, was shot to death in a robbery while making a pizza delivery man at about 9 p.m. near Sonny Avenue and Sterling Street. Four teens have been charged as adults in Nettles’ death.
6. Found April 10: Dominique M. Bush, 18, was found shot to death in Max Brandon Park. Police believe his body may have been there for several days. There have been no arrests.
7. April 12: Quantray Jordan, 20, was shot to death outside the Body Shop, a nightclub at 1209 Glenwood Ave., at about 1:50 a.m. There have been no arrests.
8. April 14: Marquan Colen, 20, known as Quan, was shot to death outside a home at 5321 Dupont St. at about 4:30 p.m. There have been no arrests.
9. April 14: Phillip Dominique Jones, 21, was shot to death at a home on Dayton Street at about 7:45 p.m. There have been no arrests.
10. April 18: James E. Miller, 21, was shot to death Pennsylvania Avenue, near Minnesota Avenue. One man has been charged in connection with his death.
11. April 24: Daryl L. Barfield Jr., 30, was beaten with a pipe and an ax in the driveway of the Chevrolet Avenue home. His fiance’s father, Jimmie Genese Williams, has been charged with murder.
12. April 26: Sheena Smith, 22, was shot on Touraine Drive about 8 p.m. Smith was pregnant at the time of her death, according to police. Two people have been charged in connection with Smith’s death.
13. May 9: Louis Meeks, 32, died after he was shot in the thigh at a home on Burgess Street, near West Pasadena Avenue. One man was charged in connection with his death.
14. May 11: Antwan Shields, 27, was shot at his home on Wolcott Street and Donaldson Boulevard at about 8 a.m. One family member was taken into custody after the shooting. Police have turned the case over to the prosecutor, who will decide if charges should be filed.
15. May 14: Justin Schmidt, 27, was stabbed to death on Gratiot Avenue, near West Court Street. One man was arrested and charged.
16. May 15: Shareka Marshall, 27 was killed on Alma near King avenues after she was run over by a car while trying to elude gun shots. This case was not ruled a homicide until November. The shooter may be charged with a crime, but none have been filed.
17. May 17: Mark Taber, 54, died less than two months after he was struck by a car March 30 near Saginaw and Tobias streets. Taber’s ex-girlfriend has been charged in connection with his death.
18. May 18: Lionel Neal, 60, died after a stray bullet found its way into Neal’s home on Paterson Street, near Oren Avenue, hitting him in the chest. There have been no arrests.
19. May 21: Darryl Packnett, 38, died after he was shot at about 3 a.m. near Mott Avenue and Kermit Street. There have been no arrests.
20. May 24: David Motley, 31, was found stabbed to death in a yard near Leith and Dexter streets at about 6 a.m. Suspected serial killer Elias Abuelazam is believed to be responsible, but he has not been charged.
21. May 24: Antonio Roche, 19, was found shot to death in the road on Bonbright Street, near East Taylor Street. There have been no arrests.
22. May 26: Denton Heisser, 31, was killed shortly after midnight near Sloan and Fulsom streets. One man has been charged in connection with the case.
23. May 27: Marcus Bishop, 27, died in the morning after he was shot to death at a home at 6714 Eastmount Drive. There have been no arrests.
24. May 31: Megan Kreuzer, 18, was a passenger in a vehicle on Alexander and Jackson streets when a person outside the car opened fire, shooting and killing Kreuzer. There have been no arrests.
25. June 7: Victoria Odom, 37, was beaten to death with a frying pan at her Brunswich Avenue home. Her son has been charged in her death.
26. June 11: Antwann Louden, 23, was shot to death and found outside a vacant home on Leith Street, near East McClellan Street. There have been no arrests.
27. June 12: Tyree Crowe IV, 31, was shot to death at Evergreen Regency Apartments, off Lippincott Boulevard. The suspect also was shot and critically injured. One man has been charged in the case.
28. June 21: Emmanuel Abdul Muhammad, 59, was found stabbed to death about 3 a.m. on Avenue B, near Williams Street. Abuelazam is suspected in the case, but has not been charged.
29. June 23: DeQuan Baker, 22, was shot near Dupont Street and West Ridgeway Avenue while visiting his uncle. One arrest was made. Police have turned the case over to the prosecutor, who will decide if charges should be filed.
30. June 28: Tyroe Centers, 31, was shot at about 1 a.m. at his home near Markham Street and Fenton Road. There have been no arrests.
31. July 7: Steven R. Hood, 54, was shot to death in his apartment at 322 W. Court Street at about 12:46 p.m. during an attempted robbery, according to police. Two men have been charged in his death.
32. July 24: Omar Richard, 32, was found shot to death in the front yard of his home on Eldridge Avenue, near Saginaw and Stewart streets. One man has been charged in his death.
33. July 26: Darwin Marshall, 43, was found stabbed to death in the street about 1:30 a.m. on Garland Street, near West Fifth Avenue. Abuelazam has been charged with an open count of murder.
34. July 27: Rachel Hawkins, 50, was found shot to death in her bed on Howard Avenue, near Pingree Avenue. There have been no arrests.
35. Aug. 2: Arnold Minor, 49, was found stabbed to death about 2:30 a.m. on South Saginaw Street. Abuelazam has been charged with open murder.
36. Aug. 4: Willis “Ray” Arrington, 17, shot to death when he tried to rob a 54-year-old homeowner at 5908 Sally Court. No charges will be filed. Justifiable homicides are included in annual homicide statistics.
37. Aug. 5: Quantrell Jamerson, 26, was shot on North Stevenson Street, near Dupont Street, at 1:38 a.m. Aug. 5. He later died from his injuries in the hospital on Aug. 13.
38. Aug. 13: Azarriah Chauncey, 5 months, died in her home on Arlington near Broadway. Her father, Matthew Chauncey, has been charged with felony child abuse.
39. Aug. 14: John “Andy” Mick, 53, was shot and killed outside River Village Apartments. There have been no arrests.
40. Aug. 17: Ray Noblin Denson, 57, was found beaten to death at about midnight in the front yard of a home at Sloan Street and Sutton Avenue.
There have been no arrests.
41. Aug 25: Eric Paxton Jr., 18, shot to death behind vacant home at Copeman Boulevard and Dupont Street. There have been no arrests.
42. Aug. 27: Brian Thomas, 17, shot to death at Evergreen Regency. There have been no arrests.
43. Aug. 28: Joe Watson, 61, found dead in abandoned house at 1811 Begole Street. There have been no arrests.
44. Aug 30: JoAnn Mexico was killed early morning of Aug. 30 in house fire that was arson. There have been no arrests.
45. Sept. 12: Ashante Washington, 27, shot to death in home at 9:30 a.m. at 5409 Winthrop Ave. There have been no arrests.
46. Sept. 15: Joshua Rice, 21, shot to death around 10:30 p.m. near Copeman Boulevard and Milborne Avenue. There have been no arrests.
47. and 48. Sept. 19: Rashan Green, 37, and Leon D. Hall, 31, were shot to death. Their bodies were found on a church parking lot on Wisner Street near Sonny Avenue. There have been no arrests.
49. Sept. 23: Kevin Mosley, 16, was found dead in an abandoned home on Garland Street and near 10th Avenue. There have been no arrests.
50. Sept. 27: Mark Nathaniel Williams, 27 was shot to death around 11 p.m. at Rankin and Dupont streets. There have been no arrests.
51. Oct. 8: Shawn D. Gray, 18, was shot to death at the Clio Woods Apartment Complex off Clio Road. No arrests have been made.
52. Oct. 11: Derrick Walker, 38, was a would-be robber that was shot and killed by a store clerk around 11 p.m. at Quick Stop Food Store at 2005 Davison Road. No charges will be filed. Justifiable homicides are included in annual homicide statistics.
53. Oct. 16: Dominick Barney, 20, was found shot in the mouth in the hallway of his Lapeer Gardens apartment. Two people have been charged in the matter.
54. Oct. 26: Rodney Wooten, 19, was shot to death and found inside a home at 122 W. Dayton Street on Oct. 26. One man, 17, has been charged in the death.
55. Nov. 1: Jonaries Holden, 6, was shot to death while sleeping in the back of a car on Flint Park Boulevard near King Avenue. Davontrae Benton, 25, was charged with an open count of murder.
56. and 57. Nov. 13: Martarien Wilson, 27, and Porsche Turner, 15, were shot to death at a home at 1409 Kearsley Park Blvd. Police have a person of interest, but have made no arrests.
58. Nov. 14: Police said 18-year-old Andriana Caudle was slain at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at her apartment in Evergreen Regency off Lippincott Boulevard. There have been no arrests.
59. Nov. 16: Amanda Lamson, 23, was found dead at the corner of Leith and Minnesota streets. Police said they believe the woman died in a hit and run. Two people, 18 and 19, were charged in the case.
60. Nov. 17: Merlyne Wray, 73, was found shot to death at 4:26 p.m. inside her home on Leland Street near West Atherton and Fenton roads, police said. A 14-year-old boy will be charged as an adult and charges are pending against a 16-year-old boy. The 16-year-old will be charged as a juvinile.
61. Dec. 12: Police have not yet released details on the latest homicide, which occurred Sunday. It is not yet included in the map.
Note: The official tally of homicides will be done by the FBI at the end of the year.
