County police assume they executed a suicide pact

Roanoke Co, VA — A Roanoke County couple found dead in their own home Monday appear to have killed themselves. Confirmation of cause of death is likely to take several weeks.
Raymond Steele was 63. Melissa Steele was 43. Police believe both of them had been out of touch with relatives for some time. Police describe the couple as shut ins and hoarders.
Raymond Steel apparently had medical problems, was on oxygen and was down to his last bottle. They were also struggling financially.
