Man's girlfriend had been killed by a bullet fired from another gun, police said

Ballistics tests from a double shooting that left a Pembroke Pines boyfriend and girlfriend dead earlier this month have determined a police officer's bullets killed the man, and that the woman was killed by a bullet fired from a revolver her boyfriend was carrying when the officer confronted him, police said Tuesday night.
The shooting happened in the couple's Chapel Oaks home in the 18900 block of Northwest First Street about 8 p.m. Nov. 17.
Pembroke Pines police said Jackline Fromin, 54, had called 911 that night to report a fight between her and her longtime, live-in boyfriend, Michael Savino, 60.
On the 911 call Fromin is heard telling a dispatcher that Savino "wants to have me Baker Acted."
During the call the dispatcher asked if there are weapons in the house and Fromin replies, "Not that I know of."
Officer Michael Silver arrived at the home to find Savino brandishing a revolver and fired five shots from his service weapon, hitting Savino several times in the torso, officials said.
Police then found Fromin dead inside the home, killed by a single bullet to the head, they said.
Silver, 28, was placed on paid administrative leave, which is routine in officer-involved shootings. State records show he has been with the city's Police Department for seven years.
The deaths shocked the couple's friends, who said the couple appeared to get along well and had been together for about 10 years.
Fromin and Savino had met at Rickey's Sports Bar & Grill in Pembroke Pines, where Fromin worked for the past 15 years.
