Murder Victim's Mother Publishes Inside Story on Domestic Violence
South Bend, IN, November 12, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Lisa Bianco was murdered in Indiana in national attention grabbing headlines. She was murdered by her ex-husband while he was on a work release program from the prison where she had sent him even though both she and the prosecutor had requested that she be advised if he were released for any reason. The story is the 20 year involvement with the criminal, victim, and legal system. She spent 12 years as a national victims advocate, receiving the pen used by former President Bush to sign a new victims law into effect. Her experiences coupled with her research, give her an extraordinary awareness and overview from the personal, historical, gender and political angles. This is not a "women's only" read. The book is titled "Who Killed Lana B?" and is currently available at www.lulu.com, a premier on-line publishing company. The book later will be distributed through major retailers, Amazon.com and globally distributed.

A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
