PITTSBURGH - A Pittsburgh-area man accused of running over the husband of his ex-girlfriend, killing him, has been ordered to stand trial.
Thirty-five-year-old Jason Kasper, of Bethel Park, was held for trial on homicide and homicide by vehicle charges Friday. A charge of homicide by vehicle while drunk was dropped.
Police say Kasper dated Tracy Pavlick after she separated last year from 49-year-old John Pavlick. The couple reconciled and, police say, Kasper went to the Pavlick residence Nov. 1 after seeing them at a Halloween Party.
Police say Kasper drove his car onto John Pavlick, crushing him. Kasper told police Pavlick jumped onto his car hood.
Kasper's attorney, Patrick Thomassey, says it was an unfortunate accident fueled by alcohol.

We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
