A woman whose body was found at an Eastside home was strangled to death, police said Friday.
Sgt. Paul Thompson, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department spokesman, said Deneisha Watford, 28, was found about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday on the floor of a home in the 1800 block of Bauer Road.
Police on Friday questioned Watford's boyfriend, Robert Sarver, in connection with her death.
Officers have not charged Sarver in Watford's death, but Thompson said detectives arrested him Friday in connection with domestic battery allegations involving another woman on the Eastside two weeks ago.
Sarver faces preliminary charges of strangulation, criminal confinement, domestic battery, battery and being a serious violent felon in possession of a firearm, Thompson said.
Police say Sarver, 32, attacked Tiesha Williams, 35, at a home in the 2100 block of North Catherwood Avenue.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
