ONSLOW COUNTY (WTVD) -- The Onslow County Sheriff's Office charged a man with his wife's murder Wednesday.
Authorities say 20-year-old Soyer Lewis Moll of Hubert led investigators to 21-year-old Virginia Tillman Moll's shallow grave Tuesday evening. The grave was located behind the couples' Sanbridge Road home under a fallen tree.
Investigators say a domestic dispute between the couple led to Virginia's death. However, investigators did not say how she died. Her body will undergo an autopsy.
Virginia's sister, who lives out of town, reported the mother of one missing on Nov. 1. Authorities say she was last seen on October 28.
Monday investigators sent out a release to the media asking for help with the case. They said circumstances surrounding Virginia's disappearance concerned them and prompted the sheriff's office to seek help from the media and the public.
According to the Jacksonville Daily News, Soyer and Moll had been married just over a year. The couple's daughter turned one on Tuesday.
Soyer is being held without bond.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
