LITHIA - Detectives in Hillsborough County arrested a Lithia woman for allegedly shooting her boyfriend in the back of the head with a shotgun, the sheriff’s office said Wednesday.
Sarah Ann Wilson, 22, of 10216 Dry Bridge Road is charged with second degree murder with a firearm after being accused of killing her boyfriend Sunday evening.
According to detectives, deputies found the body of 50-year-old Timothy Miller in the living room of their home after getting a report from police about a possible homicide.
Detectives say the couple got into an argument about Wilson taking Miller’s truck without asking to go smoke crack cocaine this weekend.
On Sunday night around 9 p.m., detectives say Wilson shot him in the back of the head with a shotgun while he slept in the living room.
Then Wilson told people she had shot her boyfriend, detectives say, and one even saw his body.
After finding Miller’s body, Tampa police recovered his truck in the area of 50th and Broadway where it had been abandoned. Wilson was arrested at the Tampa 8 motel at 4350 East Old Columbus Drive.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
