HOUSTON – A man was accused of fatally shooting his pregnant girlfriend and her dog Thursday night in northeast Houston, Houston police said.
The shooting happened at about 7 p.m. in the 2200 block of Noble.
Neighbors said they heard gunfire and came outside and saw the woman laying in the front yard. The neighbors said the woman was pregnant and was living with her boyfriend.
The victim’s dog was also shot and killed, police said.
The man was taken into custody after he returned to the scene and placed a blanket over the woman’s body, police said.
