WALHALLA, S.C. — Authorities have closed their investigation into two deaths after determining that a 42-year-old woman first killed her daughter's teen boyfriend at an Oconee County boat ramp and then herself.
The Anderson Independent-Mail reports (http://bit.ly/s7rdv0 ) that deputies used tests to confirm that Laura Gray killed 19-year-old Tylor Garren Stewart a day before using the same gun to kill herself.
Authorities say Stewart was found dead at a boat ramp in October, shot once in the back.
The next day, investigators went to the Pickens home of Stewart's girlfriend to gather information. While officers were there, Gray — the girlfriend's mother — went to the bathroom and shot herself.
Deputies say Stewart's parents told authorities Gray was having a relationship with the teen.

We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
