BRECKENRIDGE, Minn. (AP) - A Wahpeton, N.D., man has pleaded not guilty in the shooting death of his former girlfriend across the border in Minnesota.
Forty-4-year-old Jeffrey Allen Silvernail entered his plea to second-degree intentional murder Tuesday.
Silvernail was arrested last week in the death of 49-year-old Lori Roberts. She was found dead in her apartment in Doran (DOOR'-un) last October.
The Forum of Fargo, N.D., reports Silvernail remains in jail with bail set at $1.5 million without conditions or $1 million with conditions.
An incident report released by authorities says Silvernail was moving out of Roberts' home the week she was killed.
