PAINESVILLE TOWNSHIP -- The Lake County Sheriff's Office says a 23-year-old woman is dead after calling 911 and then being run over by her 24-year-old ex-boyfriend.
The 911 call came in at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, with the woman saying that her ex-boyfriend had just tried to run her over. She placed the call 10 minutes after he had driven away.
The sheriff's office said that the ex-boyfriend then returned to Barrington Ridge Road and Normandy Drive area and struck her with his vehicle.
The sheriff's office said the woman, whom they did not identify, died from her injuries.
The 24-year-old suspect drove off but later turned himself in to authorities at the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
