LAKELAND, Fla. -- A 33-year-old Polk County man has told investigators that he killed his wife to stop her from taking their children away.
The body of 33-year-old Bonnie Hower was found in a hole behind a Lakeland home. According to a sheriff's office report, Bryan Hower admitted to killing his wife. He said he had argued with Bonnie Hower after she told him that she was leaving him and taking the children to a beach. The argument escalated and Bryan Hower eventually strangled his wife until she stopped moving, the report states. He then placed her body in the hole.
According to jail records, Bryan Hower has been charged with premeditated murder. He was being held without bond. It is unclear if he has an attorney.
