LAGUNA HILLS – Derek Pinski, 25, of Laguna Hills, was arrested this weekend on suspicion of stabbing to death his girlfriend in a Laguna Hills home, police said.
Alexandra Joyce Tang, 24, of Santa Barbara, was stabbed to death inside a home in the 22000 block of Caminito Tasquillo in Laguna Hills about 11 a.m. Saturday, according to the Orange County Sherriff's Department.
Paramedics arrived to find the homeowner performing CPR on Tang. She was declared dead at the scene.
Nine hours later, her boyfriend, Pinski, was picked up 350 miles away – in Mesa, Ariz.
Orange County Sheriff's investigators, with help from the Mesa Police Department, arrested Pinski in connection with Tang's death. Investigators are in Mesa interviewing Pinski and collecting evidence.
Pinski will be extradited to Orange County, where he will be charged on suspicion of murder, according to the Sheriff's Department.
