A woman accused of having killed her boyfriend in his apartment while his infant son was in a nearby room is asking a judge to throw out her statements to police.
The Erie Times-News (http://bit.ly/P8NH0f ) says an attorney for 31-year-old Rachel Kozloff told Erie County Judge Shad Connelly on Friday that investigators "deceived" his client by telling her she wasn't going to be arrested before interviews in April.
Kozloff is charged with criminal homicide, aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person and possessing an instrument of crime in the April 12 shooting death of 31-year-old Michael Henry.
Authorities say Kozloff told investigators she and Henry got into a physical altercation in his apartment on the night of the shooting. Henry's 6-month-old son was in a crib in a nearby room.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
