Erie, PA: Western Pa. woman asks judge to dismiss statements to investigators before homicide trial

A woman accused of having killed her boyfriend in his apartment while his infant son was in a nearby room is asking a judge to throw out her statements to police.

The Erie Times-News ( ) says an attorney for 31-year-old Rachel Kozloff told Erie County Judge Shad Connelly on Friday that investigators "deceived" his client by telling her she wasn't going to be arrested before interviews in April.

Kozloff is charged with criminal homicide, aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person and possessing an instrument of crime in the April 12 shooting death of 31-year-old Michael Henry.

Authorities say Kozloff told investigators she and Henry got into a physical altercation in his apartment on the night of the shooting. Henry's 6-month-old son was in a crib in a nearby room.
