A 60-year-old Milford-area man id dead and a 45-year-old woman is hospitalized with chemical burns over a large part of her body following a violent domestic argument Saturday morning in Delaware Township.
State police in Blooming Grove report that James Patrick Siggia died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound at the Side Street Tavern on Dingmans Court off Route 739.
The unidentified woman was flown a hospital and her condition is unknown.
According to police, Siggia and the woman were involved in a domestic argument that turned violent. The woman received chemical burns, and Siggia shot himself. Police were called in at 8:45 a.m., which sources with knowledge of the incident say was soon after it occurred.
Police have not disclosed the chemical involved, how she was burned or the circumstances of the argument.
