A mother of two young children was found strangled in the bath tub of her Glen Ellyn apartment Sunday, authorities said.
Police on Monday called the death a homicide. They were searching for the woman’s ex-husband, who they said also lived in the apartment and is “a person of interest” in the case.
The body of Nancy Bustos, 36, was found Sunday morning in the 0-100 block of Briar Street by police making a well-being check at the request of the woman’s relatives, police said Monday.
According to authorities, she was found in the tub fully clothed. Her clothing was wet and the tub was drained.
Police were looking for her ex-husband, Juan Granados, 33. He was last seen driving a black, four-door 1992 BMW 325i with Illinois license plate L655003 and is possibly headed toward Mexico, police said.
