WEST CHESTER, Pa.—A man accused of murdering his daughter's mother then dumping her body on a southeastern Pennsylvania farm is expected to testify in his own defense.
Mauricio Jose Bedolla-Camacho is charged in the April 2008 strangling of Daicy Vasquez-Bedolla. The couple had a 3-year-old daughter together at the time Vasquez-Bedolla was killed.
The Daily Local News reports Bedolla-Camacho's attorneys concede their client strangled the victim but say he was provoked.
Bedolla-Camacho was arrested by border patrol agents in Louisiana a few days after the killing. Authorities say he eventually admitted to the killing but gave at least two different reasons to troopers who questioned him.
Prosecutors could finish presenting their case on Monday.

A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
