KNIGHTDALE, N.C. --
Knightdale Police Chief Shawn Brown said Saturday night a shooting incident was likely an "Attempted Murder/Suicide."
Brown said police called to a home on Hope Valley Road about 4 p.m. found the body of a man and his wife lying wounded inside. Police said the man suffered a fatal gunshot wound.
Brown said Sunday that preliminary findings indicated the man fired the shots.
Brown said the woman was taken to WakeMed where her wound was described as "minor."
The couple's teenaged daughter was also at the home and was not hurt.
Chief Brown said names of those involved probably would not be released until Monday.

We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
