(Danville) -- Police in Danville say two people dead after what looks to be a weekend murder suicide. It happened in a house that was surrounded by police on Saturday night. Danville police say they got a call that night about a man with a knife holding a woman hostage. When officers forced their way into the home, they say they found Jessica Nelk lying on the living room floor and found Johnnie Webb lying behind the door. Authorities pronounced Nelk dead on the scene. Webb was pronounced dead less than an hour later at a local hospital. Investigators say it looks like Webb may have killed Nelk, then took his own life. Autopsies may provide a few more answers, Danville Police say they've asked the Illinois State Police to assist in the investigation which they say is on-going.

We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
