WEST PRICE HILL – The live-in girlfriend of a 25-year-old man stabbed to death early Thursday in the 1300 block of Manss Avenue has been charged in connection with the death, according to Cincinnati police.
Brandon Scott of West Price Hill was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after police found him about 4 a.m. inside his apartment, said Sgt. Bob Liston, a homicide investigator.
Shortly after 2 p.m., police said Shanda Huffman, 31, was arrested and charged.
Earlier in the evening, Scott had been at the Golden Nugget bar, 2198 Queen City Ave., Liston said. At some point, Scott returned to his apartment building on Manss Avenue.
Police have received conflicting information about whether Scott was stabbed outside the building or inside his apartment, where he lived with his girlfriend, Liston said.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
