ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn. - Police in St. Louis Park are investigating a homicide after a woman was stabbed to death inside a home of the 4000 block of Excelsior Boulevard on Tuesday.
Police were called to the home around 6 p.m. Tuesday, where they found a 56-year-old woman dead of stab wounds. Police believe the stabbing was a result of domestic violence.
Police were still searching for the suspect Tuesday night, identified as 56-year-old Howard Charles Deboise. He is described as 5'9, 150 pounds, with black or salt-and-pepper colored hair. He has a tattoo on his left forearm. (See photos to upper left)
He may be driving a yellow 2001 Ford Super Duty pickup truck with Minnesota license PWE 375 or a Silver 1994 Ford Escort four-door hatchback with Minnesota license LHY 661.
St. Louis Park Police Chief John Luse said the stabbing was not a random crime and the public is not in any danger. Deboise and the victim were married at some point and police have had several domestic violence calls to the home in the past.
"This is a tragic end result of domestic violence," Chief Luse said. "This particular victim's father is a very dear friend of mine, so I'm struggling a little bit with that. Domestic violence is insidious."

We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
