Ozark, AL: Attempted murder suicide in Ozark

A Ozark woman is alive tonight despite being shot several times. Police responded to a domestic violence call Sunday on Evergreen Avenue. Inside the home they found one man dead and a woman with multiple gunshot wounds. Investigators tell WSFA 12 News, Herbert Powell shot his wife Sherrea Powell before taking his own life.

Police are calling what happened an attempted murder suicide.

The victim, Sherrea Powell is in the Dale Medical Center where she's listed in stable condition.
