TITUSVILLE -- Police said a man upset over the death of his wife led to a SWAT standoff that lasted several hours.
Investigators said the ordeal began Friday night after a man called police, saying he was distraught after his wife died inside the couple’s home on Shady Oaks Drive.
When police arrived, however, they said the man would not cooperate, and refused to let officers inside.
Police called in the SWAT team as a precaution, but investigators said they were able to get inside the home after several hours.
Investigators said the man was suffering from chest pains. His wife’s body was found inside the home.
An autopsy is expected to determine the cause of death, but police said there was no indication of any foul play.
