Grief counselors are at the Taylor County Vo-Tech Center this morning, working with Special Olympics athletes who are mourning the death of one of their own.
Robert Leavins, a decorated Special Olympics athlete and graduate of Gretchen Everhart, was shot and killed on Sunday at a house in Perry.
Leavins was a student at Taylor County Vo-Tech.
According to Special Olympics coordinators, Leavins’ mother was also shot and killed and it is believed that Leavins’ father shot and killed himself.
The state attorney's office has confirmed that three people were shot and killed in a house on Woods Creek Road.
