Jeffery Sherman admitted killing Billy Webb after seeing him leave his wife's place.
Jeffery E. Sherman admitted to police that he watched Billy J. Webb leave his wife's apartment, followed him to his home at 8836 Evanston Way and then stabbed him to death.
Sherman, 47, told police that his wife, who he is separated from, worked with the 58-year-old Webb. Sherman said he suspected his wife was with Webb.
Police noted a "gaping wound" to Webb's throat when they arrived at the scene around 8:12 p.m. April 13.
An autopsy revealed that Webb died from multiple stab wounds to the neck, arms, chest and abdomen.
Sherman is charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action.
Data on Webb's cell phone showed that he'd made several calls to the same phone number, which police traced back to Sherman's address.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
