A Lake Havasu City, Ariz., resident has been booked on a second-degree murder charge in the death of his wife.
Micaiah Gray, 32, called 911 at 1:05 p.m. Monday requesting medical aid for his wife, according to Lake Havasu City Police Sgt. Joe Harrold. Officers arrived at the home in the 3600 block of Hollister Drive and declared Raquel Gray, 27, dead at the scene.
Harrold said Gray's inconsistent and conflicting statements aroused police suspicion. They initially detained Gray before booking him in jail on the murder charge.
Police didn't release details about the manner of death or possible motive. An autopsy is pending.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
