NEW YORK - A Brooklyn woman who just sought her fourth restraining order against her ex-boyfriend was shot dead Wednesday morning in her apartment, CBS New York reports.
Police said 24-year-old Kazan Raoul was shot in the head in her basement apartment just before 6 a.m., dragged herself outside, and collapsed on the sidewalk. She was pronounced dead at Brookdale Hospital.
Police are looking to question Raoul's former boyfriend, 25-year-old Burnsley Batholemy, CBS New York reported.
Brooklyn District Attorney Charles J. Hynes said Raoul had a troubled and apparently fearful relationship with Bartholemy. He said Raoul had Bartholemy arrested on Saturday for violating an order of protection - a felony.
In all, Raoul had previously filed three restraining orders against Batholemy for phone threats he allegedly made, according to the station. She was just in court on Tuesday trying to get another order of protection.
No arrests have been made.

(NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
