A Livonia couple who police said were having marital problems were found shot to death last night in an apparent murder-suicide.
The bodies of Larry Roy Thomas, 65, and Kelly Renee Thomas, 52, were found after police were called to the couple’s house in the 14000 block of Country Club at about 7:50 p.m. to check on their well-being, according to Lt. Thomas Goralski.
After seeing a body on the floor, “officers made entry into the house and discovered two people dead inside the residence of gunshot wounds,” Goralski said today in a press release.
The two were married but “the marriage appeared to be dissolving,” he said. Investigators believe that Larry Roy Thomas shot his wife and then shot himself, Gorski said.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
