LEESPORT, Pa. -
Police on Wednesday revealed more details about the deadly shooting of a young woman over the weekend.
Ericka Rosa and her boyfriend were involved in a verbal argument inside a home on Canal Street in Leesport, Berks County, late Saturday night, police said. They said the argument led to a struggle over a gun, which went off.
Rosa, 25, was shot in the head. She was rushed to the trauma center at Reading Hospital, but the coroner said she died about 2-1/2 hours later.
The coroner has not issued a ruling in Rosa's death.
Police have not said whose finger was on the trigger at the time the gun went off. Chief Scott Eaken, Northern Berks Regional Police Department, said his investigators anticipate making a ruling of their own in the next few days.
Berks County District Attorney John Adams is assisting with the investigation.

We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
