Springdale Police on Monday afternoon released the names of the couple found dead in a home over the weekend. Officers say 56 year old Kevin Lambert and 63 year old Deborah Price died as a result of a murder-suicide at a home on Maple Circle.
Officers did not release further details about the deaths.
Neighbors say Price lived in the home less than a year. They were were shocked to see a SWAT team surrounding the home on Saturday. "It was very scary, the SWAT team told everybody it is fine. and they had it contained."
Neighbors say a man moved in with Price about two months ago, and everything seemed okay. "Last time I saw him, he seemed okay. It's real, it's upsetting. but still, that's a shame. That's a real shame." It's not clear whether that man was Lambert.
Price's co-workers called police when she didn't show up for work. Officers found both bodies in the bedroom. Police say Price was last seen on Friday, when the co-workers drove her home and, they are wondering, what led up to the violence.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
