Officials identified a man who committed suicide in a Northwest Side bank's parking lot after fatally shooting his ex-wife last week.
Roland S. Ibarra, 46, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office officials said. The incident occurred when he stopped for police Thursday at the Capital One Bank parking lot on North Loop 410 West.
Ibarra had repeatedly shot his ex-wife with a semi-automatic pistol as she tried to leave her daughter's home in the 6100 block of Townhill Drive, officials said. Yvette Sanchez Ibarra, 40, was rushed to University Hospital, where she later died.
It was the second killing involving former lovers this year.
