SUWANNEE, Ga. -- A man is accused of stabbing his estranged wife to death during a custody exchange at a Walmart gas station parking lot.
Witnesses said their two children watched on as the man killed his wife.
"The kids seen the whole thing. The kids were inside the truck and it all went down just right there between two vehicles. The kids screaming, which what alerted me," said witness Brad Jones.
Jones said he saw hands flailing and lots of commotion
During the attack, the suspect stabbed himself, sending him to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to investigators.
Police said the suspect's elderly mother was also stabbed in the hand during the incident.
Investigators said they plan to charge the suspect with murder.
