HAZELWOOD — A 35-year-old man is accused of killing his girlfriend during a Monday evening argument at their home in the 7200 block of Hazelcrest Drive, police said.
Terry Toll allegedly shot Tamara Hart, 18, in the head, Hazelwood police said. Toll was taken into custody at the scene. He has been charged with first-degree murder.
Neighbors told police the two argued frequently, and the 5:35 p.m. Monday shooting happened during another squabble.
Toll is being held on $500,000 cash-only bond.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
