Mark Anthony Fountain: Ocean Springs, Miss., man charged with felony malicious mischief and public drunk after 32-year-old Jennifer Lee McKeon died from aspiration.
OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. -- A 44-year-old Ocean Springs man was arrested today after he kicked out a window in a sheriff's cruiser and tried to escape being questioned about his girlfriend's death, authorities said.
Jackson County Sheriff Mike Byrd said Mark Anthony Fountain was charged with felony malicious mischief and public drunk after 32-year-old Jennifer Lee McKeon died from aspiration.
"She choked on her own vomit," Byrd said. "He said he tried to do the Heimlich on her and revive her. There are suspicious circumstances. He's a person of interest in her death."
Fountain, who brought McKeon to Ocean Springs Hospital at about 1 a.m., claimed he didn't know anything was wrong with her and she was just in bed asleep, the sheriff said.
"At first they thought she was the victim of an overdose," Byrd said. "Investigators consider the death to be suspicious in nature and are continuing to gather evidence in an effort to present their findings to the grand jury."
Fountain, of Richmond Street, was in the Jackson County Adult Detention Center this afternoon awaiting an initial appearance in county court.

Cathy,
I just stumbled across your blog post on this. I am living proof that Mark Anthony Fountain is an animal. He raped me in his own home. I was friends with his ex-wife Bonnie Fountain. My charges were dropped. I was in a specialty hospital when I heard about Jennifer. I can relate to her through this monster. One day. I'm developing Hands Touching Hearts in her memory.
