WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office is investigating the third shooting involving one of its own in less than three weeks.
Deputies shot and killed a man who they said had just done the same to his girlfriend.
Armando Felipe had a criminal background that included multiple drug charges. Investigators said he shot his girlfriend, 37-year-old Delglis Quintana, in their home in the Casa del Monte mobile home park in West Palm Beach.

"He shot her once," Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw said. "She tried to get away. He dragged her back in and shot her and killed her right there on the spot. That's when he fled."
And that's when he encountered a deputy and a deputy's dog, Bradshaw said. Felipe shot both, but Lt. Richard Burdick, a 24-year veteran of the force who turned 51 on Monday, is expected to be OK.
The dog, Kenzo, was shot two times but is expected to leave the animal hospital Tuesday, WPBF 25 News reported. Kenzo has been with the sheriff's office for eight years.
Witnesses Describe The Chaos
It's not clear what Felipe and Quintana were arguing about, but residents said it wasn't the first time there was drama in the neighborhood.
"We heard them arguing a couple days before," Timothy Gullion told WPBF 25 News on Monday night. "Usually a helicopter flies around once a month, but this is just way too much commotion."
Another neighbor, Dylan Eteo, said Felipe had lost control.
"He was just going crazy, shooting, shooting and shooting," Eteo said.
Third Deputy Shooting In Three Weeks
Monday's incident was the third shooting involving Palm Beach County deputies in less than three weeks.
A deputy shot Seth Adams after a confrontation outside Adams' garden shop in Loxahatchee Groves on May 16. He died a short time later.
Saturday night, Michael Wallach was shot after he allegedly shot at deputies in Lake Clarke Shores. Wallach was released from a hospital and is now behind bars.
