NEWPORT NEWS-Police say a late night fatal stabbing stemmed from a domestic dispute.
At 11:42 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to a 911 call for a domestic incident on 27th Street.
According to spokesperson Harold Eley, police found a 42 year old Marty Chadwick in the front yard, suffering from a stab wound.
Witnesses told officers they heard a fight coming from inside, and called police.
Medics rushed the victim to Riverside Regional Medical Center, where he died early Sunday morning.
Eley told WVEC.com that a 41-year-old woman was also taken into custody for questioning.
As of Sunday night police say she has been released and no charges are expected.
