At 10:56 this morning, Saturday January 21, 2012, officers with the Huntsville Police Department responded to a shooting at a local health care facility. While en route, officers were advised that there were two shooting victims and it appeared that one of the victims had shot himself. Upon their arrival, officers secured the scene for the arrival of Walker County EMS. Walker County EMS found one of the subjects, Haroldine Murray aged 81, still alive. Mrs. Murray was transported to Herman Memorial Hospital in Houston, TX via Lifeflight. The other subject, Frank Murray aged 82, was found to be dead at the scene.
Detectives with the Huntsville Police Department responded to the scene to conduct the investigation. At this time detectives are investigating the incident as an attempted murder/suicide.
